One shareholder, a long horizon and the freedom to wait for the right moment.
THE COMPANY
Salkin Finance B.V. is the privately held holding company of Niklas Plasmans, based in Helmond, the Netherlands; he is its sole shareholder and director. We work from a simple conviction: value is created through careful selection, thorough preparation and the willingness to wait for the right moment.
Our horizon is long. We answer to no outside investors and chase no quarters — which gives us the freedom to build positions that reveal their full value only after years.
WHO DECIDES
Every decision is taken by the director, who is also the sole shareholder. There is no fund structure, no investment committee and no outside influence.
That keeps decisions short and responsibility unambiguous. Where specialist knowledge is required — legal, tax, technical — we bring in long-standing advisers, but the judgement stays here.
WHAT WE DO NOT DO
01We do not manage third-party funds.
02We do not offer financial services.
03We do not work with external mandates or funds.
04We do not trade positions for the short term.
THE NAME
Salkin is Niklas, read backwards. The management consultancy that carried the name was sold; the name I kept on purpose. What began as an advisory practice has grown into an investing holding.
TRACK RECORD
Whoever sits across from us sits across from someone who has been on the seller’s side.
The management consultancy that carried the name Salkin Finance I built and sold to an established buyer. Alongside it I founded and sold Boekhouder Online: an online accounting group in which individual parts carried names of their own, among them The Social Accounting Club and CheapAccounting.
Anyone who has sold knows that a sale is not a moment but a period. The company is examined — figures, contracts, dependencies — while it has to keep running all the same. What that does to an owner, I do not have to imagine.
Today we hold interests in companies working on the other side of that same table: Exit in Flex and The Exit Company advise on acquisitions. So we know both sides — having sold, and now buying and participating.
Built, led and handed over.
What we do now, we do from that experience.
VISION

A word from the owner
We do not buy, we forge.
For as long as I can remember I wanted to be an entrepreneur. My father was my example in that: he grew up in the poverty of the war years, studied in Delft, and as an engineer founded his first company — starting from nothing, building with his hands and his mind something that did not yet exist.
He showed how rewarding enterprise can be. Not for the money, but to solve problems, forge coalitions and carry responsibility for the people around you. He built with engineering; we build with the same disposition — only we forge companies instead of machines.
The craft is in the structure: arranging it carefully enough that the whole becomes worth more than the sum of its parts. We do not play that game for ourselves alone, but the way he did — by building, forming coalitions and leaving everyone involved better off than before.
The same conviction shapes how our interests are organised. Exit in Flex and Pareto at Work are two sides of one idea: one advises the entrepreneur on his sale, the other builds the platform he then joins — both carried by KPR Capital Management. Finding and building under one roof, not apart.
